In Loreto you will find a marine park that counts with ideal areas to practice diving with the great underwater’s biodiversity
The places to practice diving are:
Coronado Island: in the costs of this islands you can dive and watch all kind of fishes that lives in those waters, the north part of the island is the best to practice this sport, is where you appreciate some coral reef.
El Carmen Island: here you can practice diving in the north and in the east where you will admired many coral reef where live multicolor fishes, and also some mountains and underwater caves
Sporting fish is a popular activity; this is because in the waters of Loreto lives a lot of kind of fishes, and where take place 7 tournaments trough the year.
Golfing it’s one of the most sophisticated sports that you can practice, Loreto has many golf fields, the main one is located in Nopolo, this counts with 18 hole distributed in a beautiful landscape with green areas. For those who love this sport, this field will make you mad and you will fond of it.

 

Museum of the Jesuitism missions

This museum was inaugurated in 1973, this place with a lovely construction have in the inside unique objects to understand the past and the present of Loreto. Some of those things are Indian’s tools, guns used by the Spaniards, maps, paintings, religious articles as the Yacente Christ and a particular wood cross that is a trunk which grow up like that.   

 

Park National of Loreto Bay

This beautiful park presents different kinds of ecosystems, such as the Manglar forest, Mantos de algas and rocky habitats. All of these ecosystems have different marine species and help to keep the ecological balance that allows birds, plants, insects, reptiles and other animals that live there.
In this park you can also swim or practice diving, sailing, kavaking.

Night life

The sunsets in Loreto are with no doubt one of the postcards more memorable that you can take home after visit this traditional city. The landscape creates by the mix of the beautiful Mar de Cortes, Sierra de la Giganta and the desert, will take your breath away.
At night you can visit some bohemian’s bars to take drinks, but if you prefer something quite there are some cafes where you can meet people or read a book.

On Friday nights there are some folk dance, concerts and other cultural events in the city’s main square, so don’t worry there always something to do in Loreto.
